Thanks to YouTube our events are truly global; both for the viewers and our participants. Now it is your time to show your life in a day on 24th of July.

On July 7th, YouTube are announcing "Life In A Day," a groundbreaking global experiment to create the world's first user-generated feature film: a movie that will document one day on earth as seen through the eyes of people around the world. On July 24, the YouTube community will be asked to capture a snapshot of their lives on camera and to submit the footage to YouTube. Kevin Macdonald, the Academy-Award winning director of "The Last King of Scotland," "Touching the Void," and "One Day in September," will edit the most compelling footage into a documentary film that will premiere at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. Ridley Scott, the director behind "Gladiator," "Black Hawk Down," "Blade Runner," "Thelma & Louise," and "Robin Hood" will produce the movie. A handful of participants will be chosen by Kevin Macdonald to attend the premiere at Sundance.
